M.Tech in Information & Communication System
The program curriculum includes six specialisation tracks that provide a strong foundation and advanced courses in each track. This program leverages the strength and diversity of our faculty and has the following specialisation tracks which are likely to be unique in their output profile.
• Algorithmics
• Communication Systems
• Computer Networks
• Machine Intelligence
• Signal Processing
• VLSI and Embedded Systems
Student is admitted to specific specialisation according to his/her choice at the time of admissions. The curriculum includes four important Program Core courses, five Specialisation Core courses, and three Elective courses. The specialisations offered by us are different in qualitative way than the specialisations offered in other institutions.
This Program is focused to provide a domain capability to each student that allows them to have a meaningful career in industry or academics. The number of seats offered in every specialisation will be announced during the admission process and may change from time to time.
In the present scenario of Information & Communication Technology, Communication Engineering is of vital importance for any society. The communication revolution has led the whole world being global village concept. The prominent domains covered in this programme are Modern Digital Signal Processing, Advanced Digital Communication, Optical Communication & Networking, Wireless Communication, Error-Control Coding, Antenna Theory & Design.
Mathematical base being extremely essential, subjects like Linear Algebra, Probability and Random processes form a part of the curriculum. Electives include, Simulation Modeling and Analysis, Real Time Operating Systems, Multimedia Communication, Wireless Sensor Network, Communication System Design using DSP Algorithms, Cryptography & Network Security, Statistical Signal Processing, Radar Systems and Advanced Computer Networks. Students also have an access to industry collaborative lab set up by Texas Instruments, Nxp Semiconductors and Freescale semiconductors.
