JEE Advanced is the second entrance exam which is
conducted after JEE Main for facilitating the admission for B.E/B. Tech
candidates in IIT and other colleges. As per reports, at least 14 lakhs
students appear in JEE Main every year and there are approximately 1.5 lakhs
students who appear for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main. JEE Advanced is
considered as one of the onerous exams in India and for attempting JEE
Advanced, candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria. Only eligible
students can register themselves for JEE Advanced and download JEE Advanced
admit card to attempt the examination. Candidates need to check their
eligibility criteria for appearing in JEE Advanced 2019 after the results of
JEE Main 2019 are released.

Changes in JEE Advanced 2019
• JEE Advanced 2019 will be conducted in a CBT /
online mode.
• 2,24,000 candidates are eligible from JEE Main
2019 to appear in JEE Advanced 2019
• PWB candidates’ reservation has been increased
from 3% to 5% in JEE Advanced 2018
• A maximum number of five exam centers can be
chosen by candidates appearing for JEE Advanced 2019 while filling up the
application form
Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced 2019
1.
Candidates should be born on or after 1st October 1994. Only SC/ST/PWD
candidates are eligible for an age relaxation of five years.
2.
Interested candidates can appear for JEE Advanced for a maximum of two
times in consecutive years.
3.
Candidates need to appear for class 12th examination for the first time
either in 2018 or 2019
4.
Aspirants must be among the top
2,24,000 scorers in JEE Main 2019 in order to appear in JEE Advanced
2019
5.
Candidates, who are students of IIT before appearing the exam; are not
eligible to apply. Also, candidates canceled in IIT are not eligible to apply.
Application Form of JEE Advanced 2019
Candidates from India can apply online on jeeadv.nic.in.
The registration date is yet to be announced by the conducting board IIT,
Roorkee. Candidates need to register themselves on the official website of JEE
Advanced from the first week of May 2019. Here, we are detailing the
registration process:
1. Candidates need to log in using the
credentials they used during JEE Main 2019 registration process. Candidates
need to choose their preferred language of question paper along with the city
they wish to take the exam in. Candidates also need to provide their mobile
number for correspondence of any updates.
2. Candidates need to upload the scanned copies
of all required documents.
3. In the next step, candidates need to make the
payment as a non-refundable fee.

Procedure of JEE Advanced 2019
In accordance with the rules of the Government of
India, reservation is applicable for certain categories.
Exam
pattern of JEE Advanced 2019
JEE Advanced 2019 has two papers and candidates
need to attempt both to qualify. Here, we are providing the exam pattern which
is essential for each candidate to excel in the exam:
1.
JEE Advanced 2019 exam will be
conducted via online mode.
2.
As discussed earlier, there are
two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2 for JEE Advanced. Candidates need to qualify
both papers for qualifying the exam.
3.
3 hours is the duration of each
paper
4.
The question paper of JEE Advanced
will be based on multiple choice and numerical questions.
5.
Physics, Chemistry, and Maths are
the main subjects of JEE Advanced 2019. Candidates can choose either English or
Hindi language for the exam.
6.
Paper I will be conducted on 27th
May 2019 from 9:00 am -12:00 pm and Paper 2 will be conducted during 2:00 pm -
5:00 pm.
7.
There is negative marking in JEE
Advanced and that differs from paper to paper.

registration number, date of birth, gender, category, mobile number and email

Answer Key of JEE Advanced 2019
Answer key for JEE
Advanced 2019 will be released on 4th June on the official website. Candidates
need to visit the link and click on the desired link. The answer key will open
in PDF format. Candidates can calculate their score with the help of the answer
key.

IIT Roorkee has
released JEE Advanced 2019 mock test in online mode to make students familiar
with the computer based test

Result and Counselling Procedure of JEE Advanced 2019
The results will be declared in June 2019 and
qualifying candidates need to proceed with the counseling procedure. Only
candidates who clear the cut off marks are eligible for the counseling
procedure. The counseling processing has some steps as described below:
Registration
Candidates need to visit to the official website
to register their names with their enrollment number and password. The entire
procedure is free of cost.
Selection of Colleges
Candidates need to select their suitable colleges
based on their preferences. For a selection of colleges, they will be provided
a list of colleges as a part of the counseling process. JOSAA will allot the
college based on the candidates’ preference.

Important Dates of counseling of JEE 2019 Advanced
The registration and choice fill-in process will
be organized during the 2nd Week of June 2019.
3rd Week of June 2019 is the
period for the first round Mock Allotment round and the second round will be
arranged during the 3rd Week of June 2019.
The last week of June 2019 will be
the first round of seat allotment and the 1st Week of July 2019 is the second
round of seat allotment.
The third round of seat allotment will be organized
during the 1st Week – 2nd Week of July 2019.
The fourth round of seat allotment
is scheduled during the 2nd Week of July 2019.
