Academic eligibility for admission B.Tech in Industrial Engineering and Management course is as below.
Candidates need to pass 12th standard or equivalent examination recognized by the University (with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with any one of the following subjects, namely, Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Biology, and Electronics). Management quota / direct admission is open to all students who are eligible with a minimum fixed percentage (45%) in Physics, Mathematics along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology as optional with English as one of the languages of study and obtained a minimum 50% marks in the optional subjects (as per VTU eligibility criteria for the year 2019-20).
B.Tech Lateral Entry Admission:
• Admission to II years/ III semester Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Lateral Entry) shall be open to the candidates who are holders of a diploma or equivalent qualification as recognized by University.
Entrance Exam For B.Tech Admission in Mechatronics Engineering
• For admission in B.Tech in Mechatronics Engineering course in engineering colleges in Bangalore and across Karnataka, students need to appear for an entrance exam for securing admission to this course.
COMED-K ENTRANCE TEST
• Students can appear for COMED-K entrance exam to secure admission in private B.Tech colleges in Bangalore.
• The syllabus for COMED-K comprises of topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from class XII. To get acquainted with the computer based test format, the conducting body will also release official COMEDK mock tests, which is available at comedk.org site. The exam consists of 180 questions with 60 questions from each subject. Candidates will have 3 hours to complete the exam. There will be a separate paper for Mathematics and there is no negative marking.
