Keeping the growing demand for technical education in mind, and keeping the noble objectives of furthering the cause of higher education the founders of the BMS Educational Trust started BMS Institute of Technology, Bangalore in the year 2002 . Popularly also known as BMS College Of Engineering yelahanka or BMS yelahanka, BMSIT Yelahanka has successfully completed 13 years and is recognized as one of the top colleges in the state of Karnataka. University rank holders, national level projects, research endeavours, laurels in sports and high ranking in educational institution lists already manifest the journey that BMSIT has embarked upon. 

BMSIT is the sister institution of BMS College of Engineering. The college was granted the status of a Research Institution by the Visveswaraya Technological University in 2005. It has provided successful placements for all the seven batches of students that have passed out till date. BMS family of institutions has well settled Alumni across the globe and is part of the global network - Melton Foundation.

BMS Institute of Technology Facilities

To promote the sports persons of their college, the sports department is well equipped with a state-of-the-art gym and excellent facilities for sports and games in the college premises. They also provide hostel facility which spans 3 blocks, two of which are boys’ hostels. 

The BMSIT library having a seating capacity of more than 200 has a comprehensive collection of books in engineering and allied subjects catering to the needs of faculties, research scholars, staff, and students. They also have a first aid/wellness centre which is open on all the working days from 11 am to 3 pm. 

The centre provides emergency, first aid, and primary treatment. The patients are also referred to by nearby super specialty hospitals if required. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled with access to the internet. The cafeteria and coffee shop also have a subsidized menu, catering to students from all backgrounds. 

The College also has an exclusive Placement and Training Centre to facilitate on-campus Placement opportunities to the students. It provides pre-placement training in soft skills to all the pre-final year students to enable them to acquaint to the current corporate requirements. BMSIT placements is never a cause of concern.
