RV College of Engineering Bangalore is run by the Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST), a not-for-profit trust. Established in 1963 with just three branches of engineering in a Sprwaling campus of more then 52 acres, RV College today is ranked one amongst the top ten self-financing Engineering Institutions in the country. 

Keeping in step with its mission - “Excellence in Education with Societal Commitment,” its concerns have always been to provide opportunities, especially to the challenged, disabled, and economically weak. RV as a brand is well respected for its clean and efficient management. It is recognized as one of India’s leading technical institutions today. RVCE utilizes its expertise in various disciplines to conduct Research and Development for Industry and Defence establishments in the country. 

The academic excellence at RVCE is reflected in its student's exemplary record in placements in the corporate and engineering sectors. RV College of Engineering placement department has consistently maintained an excellent recruitment record. The graduates and post- graduates of RVCE have been recruited by some of the world's leading corporates like Accenture and Adobe Systems, besides leading Indian companies like Brigade and HCL. In 2015, more then 169 companies visited RV College and made 1189 offers to eligible students. Out of all the participating companies more then 14 companies made an initial offer of more then 12 lakhs per annum to students. 

RSS trust runs over 25 institutions and RV College of Engineering is the major institute under the trust. Today, six decades later, RSST through the RV institutions, are in the forefront among providers of quality education in the state of Karnataka.

RV College of Engineering Facilities

The campus also has an exclusive Health Centre which is open to all the students and staff. An ambulance is stationed at the Health Centre to meet any emergencies. In addition, there are sufficient buses which take care of commutation of about one thousand students. There are two exclusive buses for the staff. With the belief "A Healthy mind in a healthy body", RVCE forays into sports arena and provides following facilities Cricket field , Football field, Hockey field, Volleyball court, Basketball courts (both indoor and outdoor) Badminton courts (both indoor and outdoor), Shuttle badminton, Table tennis , Indoor Fames facility and Gymnasium.
